Portland Community College (Rock Creek Campus) – Dealer Services Technology Building
Description
Recently completed in April 2022 and awarded LEED Gold by USGBC, Portland Community College’s Dealer Services Technology Building (DSTB) is a 15,950 SF pre-engineered metal building for the Pacific Northwest area’s heavy equipment technician education programs. The new vocational training facility is in Portland, Oregon on PCC’s Rock Creek Campus.
The multi-phase, Design-Build project began with site analysis and programming in 2018. CIDA along with CIDA’s subconsultants, the developer, and PCC’s 3rd-party consultants worked through college, curriculum, and LEED specific requirements at the building and campus levels. The new DSTB facility includes a one-story structure, fenced gravel yard for outdoor equipment storage, parking, fire access, pedestrian + bicycle connections to the rest of the campus and several sustainable features including roof-top solar array and storm water retention facilities. Future phases may include additional, similarly designed DSTB facilities and pedestrian-only connections to the future East Campus.
