CIDA is a woman-owned, multidisciplinary architecture and engineering design firm located in Portland and Southern Oregon that was established to provide clients with a value-based alternative to the traditional architectural firm. Our design philosophy is founded in the belief that architecture is best when it is a true expression of the people and institutions it serves; we listen to understand. We create buildings with simple, well-articulated forms that respond appropriately to both function and environment.

We remind ourselves daily that without our clients we wouldn’t exist as a company, and without happy clients we wouldn’t be amongst the most reputable architecture and engineering firms in the Pacific Northwest. As a result more than 90 percent of our annual revenue comes from repeat clients or referrals from clients. Our mission is simple, and it has proven to resonate with everyday business owners in Oregon, Washington and beyond who are looking to renovate the space they have, need more room with a new addition, or aspire to build ground-up with a brand new facility.

CIDA has been a USGBC Member since 2014 and Washington County Green Business Leader ‘Gold Certified’ since 2018. We have achieved certifications for sustainable design across multiple green building platforms including LEED, Green Globes and Earth Advantage. We are constantly looking for opportunities with sustainability-driven developers, business leaders and government agencies to innovate and implement green building technologies and principles.
