Portland Rescue Mission
“I thoroughly enjoyed my time working with CIDA. They are honest, dependable, and highly communicative. CIDA has an excellent team of architects and in-house engineers and were able to meet all of our timeline restrictions. Great thought went into the design of these projects to maximize the usable space for our needs. Throughout the entirety of the projects they maintained a high level of customer care and became partners with us to create an aesthetically pleasing and functional space for our staff, guests, and volunteers to serve the vulnerable of this city.”
– Micah Mahder, Facilities Manager
Description
Portland Rescue Mission is a shelter that provides programs to the homeless community including mat shelter for men, transitional shelter beds for men and recovery housing and programs for both men and women. CIDA was brought onto the project to assist with the Commercial Kitchen remodel which included a complete replacement and upgrade. This shelter serves 1200 meals a week, therefore strict coordination to reduce the time that meals were not available was imperative.
Additional projects have included acquisition of occupancy and fire sprinkler permits throughout the facility and strategic planning for future remodeling needs, professional services for a guest area remodel, and advice on other Portland Rescue Mission campuses within the metro area.
