The Meating Place
“As owner of the Meating Place Butcher Shop in Hillsboro, Oregon. I chose the CIDA Architectural firm to help design and coordinate the construction of our new 20,000 SF facility in 2019. They did not disappoint, from design to permitting and everything in between the CIDA team was extremely helpful and prompt. I was so happy with their quality of work and service. I also chose them to design our new Meating Place restaurant 2020. I would highly recommend CIDA to anyone in need of architectural, design, or engineering services.”
Casey Miller – Owner Meating Place Butcher Shop and Cafe
Description
A well-known favorite amongst hunters, meat enthusiasts and lunch goers alike, The Meating Place was bursting at the seams and needed more area for meat processing, cold storage, retail as well as dining area for their café patrons. Their expansion includes taking over the existing auction house building on-site which added a much needed 9,455 square feet to their Butcher Shop processing, custom cutting and retail operations. In addition, approximately 3,300 square feet of cold storage was added to the existing building to help their custom cutting operations keep up with the growing seasonal demand of big game custom processing. In a subsequent phase the previous location of the Butcher Shop was expanded into by the existing Café, approximately doubling the area for seating.
